Statistics on open source projects
August 27, 2007
I found an interesting web site today: www.ohloh.net.
This site monitors a number of open source projects having public repositories. It analyzes the activity in the repositories and compiles nice graphics out of it. There you can find diagrams showing the geographical location of the contributors, the evolution of the code mass during time, the languages used within the project and in which proportions, etc.
For example, here are a couple of diagrams showing the state of the Python code mass www.ohloh.net/projects/26/analyses/latest.
Very interesting stuff!
