Coding euphory
June 8, 2007
There are some mornings when I can feel a real sense of euphoria upon sitting on my chair in front of my dual screen. I sit and roll the chair closer to my desk, I can feel time slowing down and let my fingers float above the keyboard in slow motion, savoring the incoming hours of creative delight, writing code... I stare at the login prompt, already envisioning the dance of unix terminals and poping up emacs windows, already seeing the code I am going to write, like contemplating a sunny landscape alongside a road stretching far ahead. And in those instant before logging in and bracing the code with my bare hands, I simply enjoy the deep peace within my soul.
